Methodology โ€” How We Check Compatibility

Last updated: 9 Oct 2026 โ€” Kozhikode, Kerala, India โ€” Founded by Muhammad Adhil PK โ€” Mobile Mechanic Student (2023-2025)

What we do

Compatibility groups are built from three sources: (1) physical verification where we measure cases with calipers โ€” camera cutout, button height, port opening, (2) manufacturer specification comparison โ€” display size, notch style, aspect ratio, and (3) reports from shop technicians who use the platform daily. When a correction report arrives, we re-check. Each record has a confidence label โ€” this is guidance based on record availability and reviewed community reports, not a claim of laboratory testing or manufacturer endorsement. Related-fit entries are shown as references that need physical verification before purchase or installation.

How we measure

We use digital calipers to measure phone cases โ€” camera cutout width/height, button position, port opening, thickness. We compare manufacturer specifications โ€” display size, notch style, aspect ratio, body dimensions Hร—Wร—D mm. We collect reports from shop technicians who use FitMyCase daily at counter โ€” they report if case fits or not. When correction report arrives, we re-measure or re-compare specs. Confidence labels: high = measured physically + technician confirmed, medium = spec comparison + technician report, low = spec comparison only or single report โ€” reference, need physical verification.

What we don't do

We do not claim laboratory testing โ€” confidence labels are guidance, not lab test. We do not claim manufacturer endorsement โ€” FitMyCase not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by any phone manufacturer. We do not invent dimensions, chipset details, compatible models, prices, testing outcomes. If something needs real information from owner, we leave public page honest and clean, no placeholder text.

How we handle corrections

When report identifies error, relevant record and content can be reviewed, corrected, removed. See Corrections Policy. We log corrections โ€” date, what changed, why. See Editorial Policy for who reviews, what they check.
