Compatibility Methodology
FitMyCase is designed to make accessory compatibility easier to check, while keeping the limits of record-based guidance clear.

What a compatibility record means
A FitMyCase record identifies a phone model and any listed related-fit references available in the current data. It is a decision-support reference, not a product warranty or a guarantee that every accessory from every manufacturer will fit.
How records are maintained
- Existing model data is kept in the compatibility index.
- Admin-reviewed additions can be added through the existing Firebase/D1 management workflow.
- Community missing-model requests and correction reports enter review queues; they do not automatically modify public records.
- Related-fit entries are shown as references that need physical verification.
Confidence labels
Record confidence is a guidance signal based on record availability and reviewed community reports. It is deliberately not a claim of laboratory testing, manufacturer endorsement or universal third-party accessory fit.
Known limitations
Phone makers can release regional variants, revised camera hardware or display changes under similar names. Case thickness, glass adhesive coverage and accessory manufacturing tolerance can also affect fit.
